About the Program

Protecting our environment is not a choice; it’s a responsibility we owe to future generations.

The project aims to reduce exposure to mercury and uPOPs pollution at pilot sites and strengthen the institutional capacity to manage and regulate mercury use in artisanal small-scale gold mining (ASGM) and e-waste in selected countries in Africa (Ghana, Tanzania, Kenya, Senegal and Zambia). Duration: 5 Years (2020 -2025). World Bank financing for Ghana: $8,715,596 (USD)
